Oh, hello there
Hi. I’m Danielle. I guess you’ll want to know some stuff about me. Well, I live in Prince Edward Island (Canada), I am a yogi and I have an unhealthy attachment to wool.
Now, you know everything.
Ha, just kidding.
I studied Interior Design in college, but after 10 years of working full-time as a project manager in a series of architectural/drafting firms (yeah, that’s not quite as cool as it sounds), I decided in 2013 that I badly needed to change my lifestyle and my approach to work if I wanted to maintain my health and sanity (or what was left of it, anyway).
Now, I’m a strong believer in side projects and the positive impact they have on our lives, but my job had demanded so much of my energy (creative and otherwise) that I hadn’t been able to pursue anything else for a long time. That’s why I started Tall Pines: a company whose ingredients consist of 100% side project. I have some long-term plans that involve a potential woollen mill, but that’s a big commitment and it will take a while to evolve.
In the meantime, I’m basically giving myself a free pass to try anything that feels interesting and right. Instead of focusing on one product or one form of self-expression, my goal is to try many and let this thing evolve as it may. I’ll talk more about my plans and my process as I go in the journal section of this website, if you’re interested.
Thanks for stopping in to visit!
